Edward Plumley, 48, of Aldan, was previously identified by the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force as a drug trafficker, according to the Marple Township Police Department.
Plumley, who had been distributing drugs in and around Marple Township, had his residence searched under warrant by the narcotics task force on Thursday, Oct. 10, police said.
In Plumley's residence, officers with the task force found and seized:
- 1,600 grams of methamphetamine.
- 200 grams of cocaine.
- 850 grams of marijuana.
- 650 Buprenorphine and Naloxone sublingual films.
- 272 small, round, blue pills resembling Oxycodone.
Three guns were found along with ammunition and holsters, according to police. Bulk quantities of unused drug packaging, digital scales, a cell phone, and almost $15,000 in cash were also found and seized.
Authorities seized vehicles found the property, as well, including a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 2018 Infiniti Q70 sedan, and a 2010 Honda Accord.
Plumley was charged with:
- Felony Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver (12 counts).
- Felony Person Not to Possess or Use Firearms (three counts).
- Felony Dealing in Unlawful Proceeds (seven counts).
- Felony Criminal Use of Communication Facility (seven counts).
- Misdemeanor Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance (seven counts).
- Misdemeanor Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (seven counts).
He's being held in Delaware County Prison, according to court documents. His bail was originally set at $500,000 but has since been raised to $750,000, police said. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Plumley has a lengthy criminal record going back to 1994 involving multiple thefts, burglary, assault, drugs, firearms, and DUI charges in Delaware and Philadelphia counties, according to court documents.
